unbelievably true story... 

so i did it yesterday!! thank you so much to my darling Blossom danau kaseh for inspiring me and sharing the recipe. i had fun trying.. well the gravy that i made yesterday didn't turn out to be 'the award winning gravy' to my other half. so  the next time i do it, i need to do some adjustments here and there. :)

but puas hati gila when the plates are all cleared after dinner. sighhh, pure satisfaction...

if you guys noticed in my previous posts, i love baking. trying out new recipes is simply cool and entertaining.. but the problem is, i don't just love baking. but i love baking and stuffing my face with all the food i bake. hence, i gained loads of kg.. loads!! my cellulite, pffftt.. i don't wanna mention it! it's awful.

so.. i have decided to take a break from baking. trying hard to lose some weight. (trying hard? yeah right!!). how i wish i just love baking and not eating.. (droooooolsss.....) hahaha...
maybe i should start googling for healthy food recipes instead of all those buttery fattening pastries, cakes and desserts. kan?

as a healthy start, i think i wanna look for oven-baked marinated chicken, beef or fish recipes. (feeling2 mat salleh gitu...). lets visualize what i have in mind...

lets start googling... :)

happy birthday, me!! thank you so much to all family, relatives and friends that wished me. thanx mak for baking the most yummilicious moist chocolate cake. thanx to my siblings; kak long, k.ila @ blossom, jerd for singing 'happy bday to you' at Sri Tanjong last sunday. kak long, thx so much for the unexpected at all bday gift! you're so sweet!! thanx jerd, andy, and my staffs; nana, irwan, & othman for celebrating my belated b'day yesterday.. hugss!!

sunday @home

my little dimples, weef weef is not well. his mood swings from left to right, top to bottom. so we've decided to spend our sunday at home. i love spending my weekends at home now. and i love to spend loads of time in my kitchen doing one experiment after another.. *i used to hate stepping foot into my kitchen bcoz of very poor housekeeping by my ex-maid. but my new maid, a very clean lady takes good care and maintain my kitchen very well now.. so i enjoy cooking and baking in a clean, non sticky and hygiene kitchen*

for breakfast, i made serabai. can u believe it? i dare myself to try make it. well, it was my 1st attempt & the experiment didn't turn out well. u r supposed to eat serabai with its own kuah serawa (like pengat durian/pisang) but i didn't have durian/pisang at home so i substitute them with butter, jam & chocolate spread. (entah apa2 entah! lebih baik buat pancake je kan lebih senang & sesuai. pfffttt!!). so as a conclusion, i prefer the normal pancake. haziq didn't like the serabai i made as well. he juz had 1 (unfinished) and said, "mama, apesal this pancake tak sedap eh?" sheeesh!!!

anyway.. for lunch i cooked ayam masak merah, steamed siakap & fried vege. i bought the chicken from the chicken processing shop so it was so fresh & tastes gooooood! the siakap was ok lah, juz got it from the market but not that fresh. want the steamed siakap recipe? easy peasy..


thai style steamed siakap

ingredients:
1 ekor siakap - basuh & lumur dengan air asam utk buang hanyir
2" halia - hiris halus
5 ulas bawang putih - hiris halus
1 btg serai - hiris2
1-2 biji tomato - potong dadu
1 sdB oyster sos - campur air & gula sikit
1-2 biji limau nipis - perah jus dia
daun sup

1. gaul ikan dengan garam. tabur2 kan halia, bawang putih & serai. steam for 25 minutes.
2. taburkan tomato & curah oyster sos mix. continue to steam for 5 minutes.
3. curah jus limau. cuba rasa masam manis masin. tambah apa yg patut. continue to steam for 3 minutes.
4. tutup api & tabur2 kan daun sup.

try it. it's lazat & healthy.

for dinner we just had bread & finish off lunch leftovers. haziq asked for red velvet cupcakes but it was nite time already when he asked & we had to go out to shop for some groceries. *if u notice, haziq ni memang kuat makan. very demanding & choosy. a die hard fan of desserts, like me..*
ok lah, the next time i make red velvet cupcakes for haziq, i'll post an entry about it and share with u the recipe. traaaa...

cuba skincare baru

hari ni i had a nice long awaited & postponed facial treatment. kali ni aku cuba something new. cuba product cellnique. (terpengaruh dengan nana AF). hrtu aku terbaca blog dia. dia cerita pasal skincare yg dia pakai. mmg jauh beza complexion nana AF dulu & sekarang. tapi besides nana AF ada lagi a few people yang bagi good reviews about cellnique. so, atas dasar terpengaruh, aku pun ingin mencuba sesuatu yang baru. at the moment aku pakai produk campur2. macam2 ada. eumora soap bar, dermalogica special cleansing gel, dermalogica multi active toner, simplysiti C Bright 5in1 cream & simplysiti C Bright Serum. simplysiti pun ada.. sokonglah produk buatan malaysia.. :p

actually eumora really helped me overcome my oily t zone problem. oil seed yg tumbuh mcm cendawan kat muka pun berjaya ditentang oleh eumora. tau tak satu masa dulu masa aku ada problem complexion byk bijik2 tu, aku pergi klinik dr kelly anesthetist yg entah bertauliah ke tidak tu. dia kata bijik2 kat muka aku tu warts! dia soh aku buat laser treatment yang sakit nak mampuih tapi tak solve pun problem. benda alah bijik2 tu keluar balik merrily. bijik2 tu ripa2nya oil seeds. apa le punya dr kelly. oil seed dgn ketuat pun tak tau beza? apa punya anesthetist entah le dia tu. cap ayam sungguh.

tapi masalah yang timbul bila aku pakai eumora lepas 1 thn lebih ni, dia buat overall complexion jadi terlalu kering bila pakai long term. kulit kat u-zone jadi kesat. so.. aku rasa dah tiba masanya untuk mencuba sesuatu yg baru. cellnique..

diam membisu

dah lamanya tak update blog. dah bersawang kot blog ni. setelah sekian lama aku membisu, hari ni aku rasa mcm nak bukak blog & update sikit tentang apa yang aku buat selama aku mendiamkan diri. actually bukannya buat apa pun, juz that takde mood, takde modal nak berceloteh & bulan puasa kan.. processor jadi slow mo.

tapi kan, sejak bulan puasa ni, aku suka sgt dok dapur lepas2 time kerja tu buat cake, cupcakes & cookies. cuba2 recipe baru.. ada yang sedap, ada yang hampeh. semua belajar guna internet & you tube. syok jugak baking ni sebenarnya. berguna sungguh oven all in 1 amway yang aku beli drp faizah, staff kakak aku tu. itu lah bread maker, itu lah oven, itulah toaster, itu lah segalanya. walaupun cute kemetot je size dia, tapi puas aku buat cake guna dia.





selain daripada baking-unlimited.com, lepas2 kerja tu aku suka browsing internet utk collect recipe2. baking je. masak2 takde pun sepanjang bulan puasa ni. semua maid tersohor aku yang buat. oh ye, ada seketika hrtu aku ada 2 maid. so life was like wow.. relax habis. maid aku yg dah keje almost 4 years tu decided to quit & now she's gone. i'm back to having 1 maid now.

maid yg sekarang ni bagus bangat. i took her for my parents in law. oleh kerana aku ada anak kecik & takut nak ambik risk maid baru utk jaga anak2 aku, aku decide utk bwk bibik dtg keje utk aku & ambik bibik baru utk parents in law. kat situ tak ada baby so not so kritikal. bibik aku ni sgt cekap, bersih & orangnya jenis suka kemas nak dibandingkan dgn ex maid aku yg dah blah tu. anak2 aku pun suka kat dia. last 2 days we went shopping for some raya stuffs for her. kesian tgk baju dia selekeh. bagi la dia bergaya sikit raya ni.

well, that's it for now. to infinity.. and beyond!!

my sister blossom came back from paris and she brought back a wonderful souvenir for me. thank you dear sister. i love it really much!

hi blog. hari ni adalah hari yang paling happy dalam hidup aku. aku amat2 bersyukur kerana dengan izinNya, aku diberikan kesihatan, kegembiraan, dan usia yang dilanjutkan. walaupun dari semasa ke semasa Dia menguji aku dengan dugaan2Nya, aku redha dan bersyukur kerana segala ujian yg diberikan kepadaku dapat aku lalui dengan tabah.

hari ni, mcm tahun lepas jugak, semua team members aku tak pernah lupa utk celebrate bday aku walaupun sehari in advance.
*thank you to my dear sisters, bro & staffs yg bersusah payah buat mini celebration that made my morning so happy & cheerful.. ingatan & kasih sayang yang korang berikan akan aku ingat sampai bila2. i love you guys..*





lepas habis celebrate dgn budak2 ofis, kawan baik aku, liana belanja lunch kat ayam penyet mitc. *thx my friend.. u're so sweet and thotful.*

back from lunch tadi, aku dikejutkan lagi dgn sesuatu yang sgt2 tak ku sangka akan berlaku pada diriku hari ni..


OMG!! gelang idamanku! kekasih hatiku Azizi buat satu kejutan yang hampir memberikan aku heart attack. what a wonderful surprise. kata dia, gelang ni ada 9 butterflies untuk 9 years bday celebrated with him..
*thank you very much sayang. i really didn't expect this. you are the best gift that Allah give me. i'm blessed to have you as my soul mate. praying for our love & bond will last for eternity. thnx so much for this lovely gift.*

last friday was my b'day & i celebrated my b'day with a lot of surprises, joy & love from my good friends, my staffs, my siblings, my children & of coz.. my soulmate. thanx to everyone that remembers and celebrate that special day with me.

keenakan dan kesedapan makanan yg di masak oleh my fashion designer & good friend: KASEH...

this is KASEH. the oh-so-lovely lady yang menjemput 'the melaka glam ladies' (bak katanya) dtg beraya at her house that friday morning & sekali arung Kaseh celebrate my b'day masa tu.. *thanks babe.. serious sedap babe, kau masak.. especially rendang ayam & sambal udang tu. sampai aku bertambah2 tau..*

sweet & lovely birthday cupcakes from Kaseh. begitu sweet sampai tak sanggup nak makan. but when i reach home, haziq dgn rakusnya menerkam tanpa belas kasihan!! the cupcakes taste as good as it looks!

inilah barisan 'the glam ladies kengkonon' tu.. but buttercup (my sister yg arkitek tersohor tu) takde in the picture. dia belum sampai masa ni..

my sister yg blossom tu (alah... yg paling glamer pakai puff sleeve orange tu...) bought a yummy orange cake for my bday.. sedapnya, moist gila!!


lepas dah makan makan & makan sampai senak perutku, i went to office to chk if there's any urgent matters b4 i go to kl and... what a surprise, my staffs buat a bday celebration for me..



dapat a huge gigantic bday card and a sweet wonderful blouse from the staffs.. thx guys..

dan akhirnya, yang membuatkan bday aku begitu happening & bermakna sekali, the whole family went to kl to chill out & spend time together.
the last gift that i got on that day is an eternity ring from kekasih hatiku, azizi..
