my motherhood experience started on 19th november 2002. the day when i delivered my first born child, mukhriz.

mukhriz made me learn & experience a lot of things, the things that i've never been thru before. he gave me the first pregnancy & labor experience. he thought me the meaning of patience & responsibility...

mukhriz is gentle. he's not the 'cry-till-he-gets' type of boy. he expresses his frustration by silent tears. between giving and taking, he will always be the giving person, especially with his brother, haziq. he's very tolerant in dealing with his demanding brother, that's why haziq loves mukhriz very dearly..

mukhriz is a private & quiet person. he only hangs around with the people that he knows, takes quite some time to make new friends, but once he gets familiar and comfortable with someone, he'll be very loud that you will be wondering: is this the mukhriz that i know??

he loves to draw and he can draw beautifully! i love his drawings. very talented! he will see his surroundings, capture what he sees in his mind and draw them.. i think his photographic memory is outrageous! he draws signages, car logos, cartoon characters, anything that he sees..

besides his wonderful talent, he's always driven to be the best in everything he does, including academically.

the latest new experience that i share with mukhriz is 'report card day'. last saturday, i had to go to his school to meet his teacher and to sign his report cards. this first report card experience was a wonderful experience.

he got A in all subjects!! (except for bahasa arab, which to me, it's not so important to score A anyway.. ). he scored 95% overall that made him the 3rd place out of 32 pupils in his class!!

that day, he made me a very proud and happy mother!!

my niece's birthday bash

she's mimi, one of my 12 nieces. mimi's my sister, buttercup's youngest daughter.

we celebrated mimi's birthday yesterday at mahkota parade's mcD. it was a small party but all mimi's cousins in melaka were there to celebrate her b'day. the kids had loads of fun eating, playing and laughing.. unfortunately, my other sister, blossom had to miss the party bcoz she was too exhausted after organizing st.david's carnival on saturday, but her kids made it to the party. after the party, buttercup brought us all to GSC to watch transformers!! tq for the wonderful treat, buttercup..

ZZ, MLOC & Japan GT 2009

ZZ is a car crazed guy. inspired by japanese. anything about cars can attract his attention. he buys piles of mags about cars, some of them are japanese mags that he can't even read the contents, but by looking at the car pixies, it's good enough for him to study what kind of accessories and what type of mods done by the japanese.. he talks about cars (from engines to accessories) everyday, that made me understand what is piston, con-rod, turbo, racing cam, wastegate, and many many many more....

wondering what MLOC means? it's the short form of Mitsubishi Lancer Owners Club, the car club that ZZ joined since he bought his E9.

Japan GT is a yearly event @ sepang F1 circuit where japanese cars will test their engine setting power and performance thru racing. well, this year's Japan GT was held from 19-21/6/2009. but we normally go to the last day when the race is happening. but i didn't follow ZZ to see the event this year bcoz ZZ's car is stuck in the workshop and he got a ride from his friend. so i juz let him have fun doing boy stuffs on father's day..

he went for a pitwalk where he could see the racing cars rite before his eyes at a very short distance,

...and to get the unforgettable and to-die-for chance to hug that berketul-ketul thing called the michellin mascot. *haiyya... this fatso oso he wants to take picture ah?? take la pictures of keiichi tsuchiya ke, nobuteru taniguchi ke, konichiwa naruto ke.. but hey, look at the back there. japanese people oso like afro style meh? poor that japanese afro dude bcoz ZZ is only interested in the michellin mascot and not him, altough he flew all the way from japan!! hehehhehh.. :)

ZZ had a great & fun time with his friends that day!!

but no matter how much fun he had with his friends that day, he never forget about his family bcoz he came back that nite and brought home a sepang F1 t-shirt for each and everyone of us (me, mukhriz & haziq).

Nordin Group Opening Ceremony

as i mentioned in my earlier post, we did our opening ceremony last month 15/5/09.
i wanna share some pictures of this memorable day with all of you.

as you could probably notice, jerd's not in the picture. she was on maternity leave. she was angry, though because we did the ceremony when she was on leave but we had to do it anyway bcoz according to APAK, that date is 'berkat'.

my dear jerd, with or without your presence during the ceremony, we always felt that u were there together with us on that day because we love you..

that day, many relatives, friends, clients and future prospects came to our office.

*actually, i've got alot to talk about BO and B.C.. besides being my 2 elder sisters, they are my PPG buddies at work, but i'll reserve the juicy details in my upcoming posts lah.*

we rented 2 khemah from 'din khemah' and ordered food from my mom's old time favourite caterer friend : hajah rahimah. we did hi-tea, so we served the guests bihun goreng, nasi impit, sambal kacang, kari ayam, roti jala, kuih muih & teh tarik.

NORDIN GROUP

APAK is the founder and chairman of NORDIN GROUP. it's the parent company of a few subsidiary companies consists of : a legal firm, an architect firm and a few construction companies. it's a one stop centre, fully owned by my family members like; my Apak, my sisters, my brother in laws, myself & my other half. we started operating since 2003 in melaka raya, a 3-storey shoplot. years passed by, the legal and architectural departments' workmen expended and they had to rent the next door shoplot due to limited production space.

at the same time, APAK always had this vision to acquire a land to build our very own NORDIN GROUP building so that we get a bigger and more comfortable space to work. but somewhere last year, my 2 elder sisters (blossom : the head of our legal department, and; buttercup : the head of our architecture department) found a nice spot in MITC ayer keroh (the putrajaya of melaka). we managed to find a row of 4 units of 2-storey shophouse selling at good bargains. after discussing with APAK about the building, he agreed with our idea to acquire that building and move NORDIN GROUP to a new premise. so i bought 1 unit, blossom a.k.a. 'BO' bought 1 unit and buttercup a.k.a. 'B.C.' bought 2 units.

so B.C. and her architect husband cracked their heads to come up with the renovation and ID plans. and this is the final 3D proposal presented to APAK.

APAK was so so excited about this renovation and moving thing. he pushed and pester and kept on pushing and pestering us from the acquisition stage to the renovation stage and so on towards the end... and we finally moved and started our operation at our new office premise by 10/04/2009. fiiiuuhhhh, finally.. no more pushings and pesterings from APAK! :) :)

APAK, i love you...

the opening ceremony was held on 15/05/2009. it was a memorable celebration officially launched by the CM of melaka. (but awww man!! nice pictures of the office and the ceremony are in my external hard disk & i left it at the office!!)

i am actually the financial controller of the group, assisted by my little sister, jerd. i need her to be FC2 bcoz i'm the head of our technical/construction department and i'm running a construction company. so i delegate most of book keeping, cheque issuance, banking and accounting workload to jerd. thank god for that or else i'll have to work 24-7.

initially, i was not really keen to move bcoz i was too concerned about the renovation cost, the distance from my home to the new office, renovation cost.. again, renovation cost.. again and again.., but in the end, my beloved other half (azizi a.k.a. ZZ) told me that we had to agree with BO and B.C. that this new office is gonna give a fresh start for all of us and it's gonna be a better place since it's located in a prime area and it's near to almost all core government agencies. and i finally made my mind focus on the positives, minus all negatives and i said to them : ok lah ok lah... jom lah pindah.. (while my head sung lullabuys of : habislah duit aku... koyak lah nak membayau duit bangunan lah, renovation cost lah, bill hitu lah, bill hini lah!!!) but... it's all worth it! i like my new work space, the ID suits my taste. office feels like home bcoz my other half, 4 of my siblings & 3 0f my brother in laws are my officemates and working partners. and..APAK is our big boss. MAK, of coz, will drop by from time to time and she always bring food for us! i love you, MAK...

but to me, on top of all that and the most important thing is; APAK has finally achieved his vision!

life...

i had a wonderful childhood, being brought up in a wonderful house (sri tanjong) by the seaside.

at the backyard of sri tanjong, there's a huge 'pokok asam' that supplied us asam jawa ever since we stayed there.

talking about this pokok asam, when i was a little girl, when the world gets dark at nite, i would always be so afraid to look at the back yard because i imagined there's a langsuir or pontianak sitting on the tree branch, maybe looking at me... scary!! my parents didn't fix any spotlights back then, so it was so dark and spooky, especially during windy season... the wind that hits the glass sliding door makes some kinda scary humming sound! woooooo... wooooooo..... something like that lah...

i have a big family consists of 8 siblings (7 girls and 1 spoilt brat - jgn marah andy... nanti kena jual kat pajak gantung). my dad is a super lawyer dad, tan sri datuk wira a. nordin. we call him 'apak'. very angry and grumpy looking bugis blood face, but very kind and caring father.

my mom... she bakes, cooks, sews, drives, do gardenings, joins women institutions, etc etc etc... she's a wonder women! i wonder where she stores all those energy! she's always on the run. that's why my mom, puan sri datin wira halijah aji won the Ibu Mithali award last month.. we call her 'mak'. my siblings... all girls are taken, only my lil brother is available and open for dates. anyone interested? handsome jugak dia tu.. boleh tahan macho jugak la.

nope, this was not my wedding day. it was my lil sister, jerd's wedding.. she's now a mother of one cute baby adrian...

now i no longer stay at sri tanjong. i've built my own little happy family and moved to my own little wonderful home. i have 2 adorable kids that i always look forward to go home to everyday after work..

my first born baby is mukhriz, now he's 7. mukhriz is a very gentle boy. he listens to what i tell him to do or to don't do. he likes to play psp (all boys hobby rite?? ok lah tu, it's cyber century what??)

my 2nd baby is haziq, now he's 4. he's the opposite of mukhriz. he's talkative, friendly, rough, cheeky & prone to accidents!! he loves chocolates, any kind of chocolate based food. that explains his rotten teeth, huh??

ok, that should be a good start. actually, i'm not a big fan of virtual diaries (well, that's what i think about blogs) bcoz i think pictures and infos can be manipulated easily. but i follow alot of blogs of friends and family members that makes me feel.. eh, best jugak kan ada blog, we can share interesting stories about many many things.

but, i'm a freshie, so i'm a bit blur with a lot of tools & settings. but i'm sure i'll master it in no time!! malaysia boleh!!
